The Benefits Of Footbed Footwear, March 15th, 2012

Footbed sandals and shoes are a wonderful way to treat your feet. Consistent wear allows for your foot to create its own imprint  for a customized insole support, that will be more beneficial than ready made or  custom insoles.  Most of these footbeds are made with a cork mid sole making them feather light yet durable. Besides the iconic  Birkenstock known for that feature , Naot shoes also have foot beds in their open toe and closed to styles. Most of the footbed footwear we sell  at Tip Top Shoes have the ability to have the insoles replaced after a season or two without having to replace the shoe.-D.W.

Birkenstock ‘Gold’ Sparta Sandals, April 6th, 2010

Here’s a little history about Birkenstock in 1897 Johann Birkenstock’s  grandson, Konrad Birkenstock, develops a concept that would literally change the shape of footwear. Although the soles of our feet are curved, shoes had always been flat inside. Konrad theorized that if the shape of the shoes reflected the shape of the feet, greater comfort would be possible. Soon he designed the first shoe with a contoured insole to be used by shoemakers in the production of custom footwear. Today  one of the most respected name in wellness footwear, check out the latest by  Birkenstock the  Gold Sparta above  available at tiptopshoes.
